Visiting Downtown

We went downtown today to walk the Market. If you haven't ever been to Charleston, and the Market, you should try to make it. It's lovely. It's generally hand made items, from local vendors. I saw a few people selling a few handmade things and mostly bought items, which was disappointing, but what are you going to do, right?

One of my favorite things to see are the Sweetgrass baskets, I adore them. These ladies are always sitting around laughing and joking together while they make them.

I also went by the LYS and got some Wendy Happy yarn in Pisces and the book Beautiful Baby Shoes (on sale). 

Today was also my last day of work. I went in today and found that they had already locked me out of the computer, so I couldn't even clock in or check my messages. The comical part of this is that I'm supposed to stay prn, and had patients TODAY to see for microderm. Which is difficult to do, when you can't clock in. I'm feeling pretty torn about not working anymore, but I'm sure it'll be great, in the end. As of today, I'm officially a stay at home Mom. 

Lazy Days

I had a pretty lazy day today. Didn't clean, didn't cook. I did do some diaper laundry, some crochet and we went wandering around the Tanger Outlet. Sylvester was pretty upset towards evening, I think he needed something to do, which is why we ended up at Tanger. We got some cute stuff for super cheap.

Part of the reason for such a lazy day is I've been having some problems with my shoulders. I don't know if it's sleeping wrong, carrying the baby around or a combination of both. My shoulders hurting is causing my head to hurt, today was day 3 with a headache. Which makes dealing with Sylvester even more difficult, especially because he's been grumpy due to not pooping. But I'm off the soap box now. I'm going to change pillows and see if that helps.

I'm not sure if I posted about it yet or not, but Friday is my last day at work. I have been offered a position in another department, which would give me lots of opportunity to do school work, and it's a sit down job, so I wouldn't go home utterly exhausted and stressed. Sly doesn't want me to take it if I'm doing it because I feel we need the money, though. Which is kind of why I was considering it. ;) I'm going to go talk to her and see what she says about doing it occasionally.

3 Days?

Sorry I haven't written in the last few days because it's been pretty hectic. Today was my last day working at our Urgent Care center, I will still be doing skin care for the same company, but not working UC cuts a lot of stress out of my life. Tomorrow I am going to wake up and have a great day! And hopefully I'll have something to blog about by Friday. ;)

Plaid Romper

I didn't realize it'd been two days since I last posted. There has been a good bit going on around these parts. For one, I finally finished Sylvester's plaid romper yesterday! Yay! I told my boss to not put me on the schedule for July, for urgent care. And tonight is Sly's first night shift at the VA hospital. I hate nights, but I hope it goes well for him! 

A little more about work - I will continue to do skin care/dermabrasion but I won't be scheduled in UC anymore. I still enjoy parts of my job, but I feel I go in angry and anxious every day I work, and I can't provide good care for patients feeling like that. I do, however, really enjoy doing the skin care with them still, so I'm going to keep doing that while I'm in school (which I start in August). 

I got a few pictures of Sylvester's romper. I used the Summertime Romper tutorial from Pickup Some Creativity.  It was the first time I'd used snaps, I felt like a total git using Sly's hammer, lol. I learned a lot of things making this little outfit. I love it!
