Summertime Feet

I rarely wear anything other than sandals in the summertime but it's just as rare that I actually get a pedicure or do one myself... you can imagine how that looks. I decided I'd give myself one tonight and after some poking around on Pinterest I found this blog post - A Perfect Pedicure for Pretty Feet - and it worked really, really well!

I would say my feet are more sandal worthy now and I might have to add this to my bi-weekly schedule. It was pretty relaxing to sit and read while my feet soaked in some hot water.

P.S. The only thing I did differently was that I added some coconut oil to the epson salt soak. It smelled so good!

A Little Bit Of Spring

I got a chance to sit down and play with some of the stuff Sly bought me for Christmas and here's what I came up with. Sadly I only snapped a picture with my phone before I broke two nails on my left hand. >.<
I used Pro*FX Complete 3 for the base and top coast, Bon Bons Lt. Blue for the base color, Sally Hansen in Whiteand China Glaze in Harvest Moonfor the flowers.

Button Band Hat

Day before yesterday I saw this pattern on Ravelry and decided I'd make one (or two). This has got to be the quickest hat I've ever knit. It's done with a size 6 (bulky) yarn and I ended up using size 15 needles. Here's a full view of the finished hat.
Hat modeled by Sylvester.
I was going to start on the pink one last night but I decided to paint my nails instead. I used the China Glaze Hunger Games collection in Harvest Moon. (also the title of my favorite video game series.)

The Amazon picture doesn't do this polish justice, at all. It's probably the prettiest gold polish I've ever seen. And Amazon's price on this polish is great! I wear Fast Track from the same collection for a few days too, Sly really liked that one.
Can't beat that price either! $1.95? That half of what I paid for it and it was on sale when I got it.

Cuticle Removal

Something I'd never done for myself until this last week. I've had it done at a nail place when I was getting acrylic nails, but never at home. I just have to say, I can't believe the difference, it's amazing! I did my fingers first, they were the worst and they're still going to take some work to get repaired. I can't believe how dry the skin on my hands are.

I did get a picture of my toes, though. I have done the right foot, but not the left. They aren't as bad, but look much better.

I'm also trying out the Orly Polishield top coat. I got it on clearance at Sally's Beauty Supply, so I thought it'd be a good buy. I hope it lasts as long as the 10 day topcoat from Rimmel London.
