Nursing Necklaces

I made two nursing necklaces today. I'm debating which one I want to keep and which one I want to sell.

And our photo challenge this week was baby with their favorite furry friend and here's my entry.

I'm excited about this piece. I would love to wear it myself if I had the chance, but it will go up for sale later this week or early next week. It will go up for sale with some gorgeous earrings made by my Mom!

Time flies...

Time flies when you're having fun, I guess. I didn't realize it'd been two days since I last posted! I have lots of new pictures to post!

Sylvester is feeling much better, though not 100%. He's still got a mild cough, but we're going up hill now! Here's a picture of him and Daddy playing last night.

Mom came over yesterday and made almost 30 pair of earrings! WOW! She's a machine! I made one lanyard and one necklace and she made all those earrings! I'm going to take pictures of all the earrings today and tomorrow and then I'll post those, but for now here's a teaser of more to come. 

Here's the progress on my ripple blanket, I'm really loving it. I'm enjoying it too, I wasn't sure if I'd like taking on a project so big, but I'm really loving it. It's huge! It falls well below the mattress on both sides of our queen bed. It will probably fit a king bed, if we ever have one.

Sick Baby = Getting Nothing Done

Sylvester is sick and while he's still a very happy baby, I can tell a difference in his mood. He wants to snuggle... A lot. He's not running a fever, just a cough, but it doesn't sound great so we're going to call the doctor tomorrow and see if we can be seen. He's supposed to get his 4 month shots on the 15th, not sure if that's going to happen. Here's some pictures I took tonight, he was being a cutie and smiley despite not feeling great.

I bought a domain and web hosting tonight, I'm sure it will be a little while yet before I have a webpage to "launch" but it feels good to decide on a business name and get it set in stone. Now to order business cards to send out with orders and for Thirty-One. 

I'm researching web design programs and I'm open to suggestions. It's been a long time since I used any of them, but I took a class for Dreamweaver (a few years ago, so pretty much useless now) and I used FrontPage a little and wasn't a huge fan. 

New Etsy Stuff

I made this lanyard using glass seed and bugle beads and then the larger are pink and clear glass. It's about 28 inches long. I wish I could get used to wearing something like this for work, since my name tag is always backwards! 

 My Mom made these. They're made from Organic cotton in a lovely green color. I love how soft they are! They also have tons of texture, unlike ones made from Sugar N' Cream yarns.

Birthday dinner

I hope to have a good day tomorrow! I've decided that Wednesday will be business day - Sly is at school/work most, if not all, of the day, so it's a good day to do it. I'm hoping to make a few things every Wednesday and get them online in the same day. Tomorrow is a little weird because I actually have to go into work for a few hours but we'll make it work.

I came home from work today to find I had books in the mail! Woohooo! I got Blogging for Bliss and Handmade Market Place. I'll write a review of both at a later date, now I'm going to go snuggle with my little one and read.

What day is it again?

Some how I missed a day blogging, I'm not sure what happened but no big deal. I got a lot done yesterday though. I finished a set of facial scrubbies to sell on Etsy, and a Christmas Light Bulb for February.  I'm glad I finally figured out how I want to make the face scrubbies. I've done quite a few "prototypes," first I figured out the right size and then I found a good textured stitch. Here's a picture, any comments/incites welcome.

This is my little Christmas Light Bulb - I wasn't sure how the variegated yarn would look but I like the way it turned out. I wish I had finished it with green, but blue is what I had on hand and I didn't want to buy a whole other skein of cotton for just that little bit of yarn. 

I also got some seriously cute pictures of Sylvester yesterday. I got some adorable ones of him sleeping on his play mat but I also got this one of him holding my cup for me. I was holding it in one hand while I was holding him in the other arm and he just reached out and grabbed the cup in both hands. Too cute, I say! 

We have weighed him over the past couple weeks and apparently he's not gaining weight, but it's hard to tell because we're just getting his stomach under control. The first time we weighed him at 15.5lbs he hadn't pooped in 7 days, when we weighed him the next weekend he weighed 15.6lbs. So, did he not gain any weight or did he just have a lot of waste weight the first week? I'm looking forward to the 4 month check up, excluding the shots, so we can see what he weighs there. 

Happy Birthday Mom!

Today is my Moms birthday, she's 29 again with a few anniversaries. *winks* We had a good evening, we made black bean soup (love it). I didn't get any pictures though, sadly. I had a god awful headache all night, it broke about the time everyone was going home. I've had a headache on a daily basis for about a week now, I'm not sure what's going on. Bleh, oh well. I think they all had a good time, we had some good laughs.

Sylvester was going through a growth spurt today so he ate every 1.5 hours to 2 hours, so it's been a long day of having my boobs out most of the day. It's so strange that he hasn't "gained" any weight apparently. We weighed him at work and he weighed one ounce more then the week prior. I think my Mom might be right, he hadn't pooped in a week when we weighed him the week before and he'd just pooped when we weighed him this past week. He seems to be chubbier to me, his cheeks are fuller and he's got more of a gut, so I just can't believe he's not gaining.

I got 4 of 6 face scrubbies crocheted for the first set that I want to put on Etsy. I listed my earrings today, I had one very beachy set and one 3 piece set. I hope to finish and list the scrubbies tomorrow and maybe start my blanket or any number of other projects I want to get done. *smiles* No headaches tomorrow I hope!

Quick Note

I'm going to bed super early tonight. Sly's already in bed, he has to be up at 0500 for clinical. I'm going to try to catch up on some sleep lost when Sylveser decided to wake up every couple of hours earlier this week. I've been totally exhausted, I feel bad for Sly that he can't catch up yet either. I didn't take any pictures of Sylvester today but my Mom took these of us at dinner tonight.

I made a pair of earrings and pendant yesterday after work, I'm going to list them on Etsy tomorrow.

Visiting with Grandpa!

Grandpa came into town this weekend and hung out with Sylvester. Have I ever mentioned how thankful I am to have parents that will watch my little one for free? I am, truly. They had a good weekend, Dad says, he said Sylvester wasn't grumpy at all. We took a few pictures right before Dad left today.

I'm hoping to have a productive week, I'd like to get more stuff listed on Etsy, get new glasses, look at a new webhost, and work on Michaels scarf. I'm not sure what Sly has for school this week, but I'm sure he'll be busy. I'm going to sit down and write out a list of things I'd like to make and sell and see how long and how much each thing cost to make, to truly found out if it's worth making or if there is something better to spend my time on. Speaking of, I'm going to attempt to get motivated and work on something. 

Missing Mommy

I think Sylvester missed me today. He was very good for Grandpa but he wanted to be held all evening by Mommy. Here's us snuggling, he was fighting sleep really hard but it finally won over. 

I am considering getting a new web host. I love blogger but it can't do all that I want to do. I have a 1and1 account right now but their spam filter isn't enough on email after a while. Sly gets 800+ spam emails a day, that's too many to even sort through. I'm open to suggestions on webhost. I'm looking at FatCow.com, not only do they have unlimited space/domains/bandwidth and emails, they're also 100% wind powered. If anyone has used them, please let me know. :)

Things to sell

I got a request for some ID Badge Lanyards, I'm making five total, here's the first two. I'm going to get some better pictures tomorrow, it was a very overcast and rainy day today. One is purple and silver, the other is black and white. I'll have the orange finished tonight.

 Alright, enough for tonight. Sylvester is not having me do anything but love upon him. I'll post more tomorrow with better pictures!
